As a member of the finance team at Scalefast, you will be in charge of creating internal control policies and procedures, overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, managing the cash flow, forecasting and budgeting, handling tax matters, preparing financial reports, and ensuring organizational financial stability.

Job requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies that relate to accounting matters (Revenue recognition, Cost of Goods Sold, etc.)
  • Improve financial processes and workflow
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare timely monthly financial statements
  • High-level financial reporting and analysis
  • Regular budget consolidation
  • Cash flow management
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Participate in budgeting processes
  • Additional controller duties if necessary

You must have:

  • Proven working experience as an administrator in the financial team
  • 4+ years of overall combined administration and finance experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Excellent accounting software user, ERP systems, and administration skills
  • Autonomous and high level of initiative and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Previous experience in a start-up and/or an eCommerce company is a plus
  • Audit experience is a plus
  • Proficient in English and Spanish, French is a plus
