We seek a highly motivated and experienced team player to serve as Legal Counsel who will play an integral part in building Scalefast’s Legal & Compliance team and structure. You will report directly to our CLO/DPO

We are looking for applicants with excellent communication skills, proven experience in legal team in digital environment, either in house or in Law firm, and a desire to work in a fun, fast-paced scaleup environment. The role requires very good organization skills, a strong work ethic, and a keen interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. Job requirements

Main duties & responsibilities

  • Provide legal advises and answers as regard products and services in all areas of e-commerce, most of time in connection with other Scalefast’s teams and/or clients.
  • Contract management with clients and different kind of vendors.
  • Corporate management, in particular in a context of geographical expansion.
  • Continuous contacts with Compliance team (Personal data, antimoney laundering, security, etc.).
  • Coordinate with and assist CLO/DPO in their tasks on a daily basis.
  • Be part of building/organizing Legal team with CLO.

  • Experience advising clients/companies on e-commerce issues, technology products, platforms; SaaS and PaaS agreements, consumer law, and other internet technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Education & Experience

  • Excellent credentials from law school – Min. Master’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Between 4 and 8 years of relevant legal experience (including at a law firm or prior in-house experience).
  • English and French fluent.
  • Spanish speakers a plus.
